Am I Safe in my Own Home? As my culture mission this week I decided to choose "Online Hate and Harassment: The Trouble with Trolling." Although I am really interested in blogging, YouTube, and Data Protection, I feel as though the internet is never going to stop growing and as a young actress and micro social media influencer, I should familiarise myself with online hate and how to cope and spread awareness about it before I delve into other aspects of the internet. I often hear people who get hate online saying "I put myself out there so what should I expect?" and I wonder why should we have to expect this? Who are the people behind these accounts and why do they target who they target? What are their aims and what do they gain from trolling people? GIF me a Break! Two weeks into the Creativity mission and I can admit that I never thought that there would be so much work put into a simple GIF!  I decided this week to form a group together, consisting of Darragh Cole, Melissa Gilmore, and myself! I created a WhatsApp group chat, and organised for us to meet up together during the week. We met up on Tuesday to discuss our different tasks that we would be doing for the week.  I chose to talk about the GIF culture and animated GIF. I wanted to do a powerpoint presentation so started a Microsoft Powerpoint and worked through my topics. I also figured out how to create a GIF on Giphy and decided to combine an animated GIF and a MEME GIF together, killing two birds with one stone. The Art of The Animated Gif As I begin my journey into learning about the Art of the Animated Gif, I understand that I have many goals to achieve in doing so.  My First Goal; is to learn something interesting about Gifs! Simple as that. I want to learn why they were created, what they are used for, will they die out or maybe stay strong in the world of social media? Are they used in more areas than just social media platforms? There are so many questions I have about the Gif, how is it even pronounced? These are all questions I hope to find the answer to as my first goal in this mission. My Second Goal; is to learn about how I learn with digital tools and concepts.
